Well since my last entry things have got a bit busier.
In fact that is an understatement, I've had 2 more wedding bookings which means that I already have more booked than I photographed in the whole of last year. looks like this will be my busiest year for weddings so far.
I'm on the hunt for a studio, I keep having to turn business away....that really hurts. When its gone its gone.
Can't decide whether to invest in a small portable kit so that at least I can do some mobile work.
Having a good response to the photo's that I upload to facebook, at least thats keeping my name out there.
I've also joined Blipfoto, the daily photo journal site where you try to upload a new photo every day which is taken on the day...sounds easy, I've missed just 3 days in the last 2 months.
Studio space is hard to find. The right size in the right place just doesn't seem to be out there.
I have managed to update my web site in the last few weeks.

Too Long
I can't believe where the time has gone since my last Blog post, is it really over a year!!
What a year it has been, from both a photo point of view and more personally as well.
I will sort out some time to try and summarise the last 12 months, hopefully sooner rather than later.
I guess the highlight for last year was opening a studio in the De Valance Pavillion in Tenby for a about 3 months during the summer. It was a bit Heath Robinson as the space was shared and I had to keep moving stuff in and out when others needed the space. But we had a go.
The first week was poor, but people soon got to realise that we were there and the business started to come. From dogs to babies, from families to ebay products we shot them all.
There was the lady who wanted only head and shoulder shots, but they had to be doctored to make her look years younger...which we did. She literally cried tears of joy!

The location wasn't good and the hiring cost became prohibitive so I called it a day. I am please I did it though. It showed there is a demand for a "High Street" studio, but it must be in the right place and look a lot more professional than we did.
We did pick up several Wedding enquiries, some of which have turned into bookings for 2013.
I'm still getting requests for studio shots but without some decent space I am having to turn this business away. I'm frantically looking for somewhere to relocate a permanent studio, it isn't easy.
I managed to shoot 4 weddings, all of which went really well, everyone was pleased with the albums that Dave and I produced.
Thats about all for now, will catch up again soon.
