Cheryl & Andrew

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wonderful wedding of 2 lovely people, Cheryl and Andrew Thomas
The ceremony was held at The Giltar Hotel in Tenby, who as usual, managed the whole event very professionally.
The sun shone, but it was a bit breezy, but at least it was a dry day.
Cheryl had her best friend as her attendant and Andrew also had is best mate as bestman, who was also game for a bit of fun.
Everyone had such a lovely time throughout the day and into the evening party.
The cliff garden was an oasis of colour for some lovely shots. It was also out of the wind, which helped.
Here are a selection from the day which I hope you will enjoy.

It's Not All About Weddings & Portraits

My Blog has been mainly about the Weddings and Portraits that I have been lucky enough to be asked to photograph. Obviously I am very pleased to be asked to cover such important events, but sometimes I like to take photographs , just for my own pleasure.
One of the genre's that I get a lot from is playing about with HDR images. I'm not going to explain the intracacies of this style of photography, other than to say that I normally take 5 photographs and 1stop exposure variations and blend them either in Photoshop CS5 or Photomatix.
HDR isn't to everyones taste I know, but I like the immense variation that you can derive from a single blended image, from the almost natural right through to the downright surreal.
I have included a few examples here, the Station ones were only taken yesterday and I must say that I am very pleased with them.

This photograph shows the old lifeboat station, which has been converted into a fabulous home and the new styation is visible beyond.

Another Wet Bank Holiday Monday!!!

But never mind, it means I've got a few minutes to Blog!!
Well Cheryl and Andrews proof disc is ready for them, and if I say so myself, looking really good. I'm sure they will be pleased.
The Ladies Circle area handover lunch went smoothly. The perfect setting on the terrace of the St Brides Hotel in Saundersfoot, looking over the village and beach on a superb sunny day, what could be better. All the Ladies looked very elegant in their finery.
This last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the weddining of Claire and Neil Stanton.
A small wedding of just 60 guests, but what a wonderful day it was.
Pretty chaotic at the Brides house, as is the norm I guess.
Then off to the beautiful Penally Church. A truly picturesque setting on the village green with the sea in the background...perfect. The sun shone for us all day long.
Lighting was a bit tricky inside the small Church, but we managed a few nice images.
Family groups on the green before we took Claire and Neil off to do some couple shots overlooking the South Beach and Caldey Island, then to the rexeption at The Heywood Mount Hotel.
Lovely balcony shot of all the guests followed by a few fun bedroom shots. Back for the last dance in the evening and the end to a busy but I think successful day.
I have spotted a place that will make a great studio, but there is a lot of work to do and the budget is pretty tight so a bit of dealing to be done me thinks...watch this space!

A quick update.

Still finding it hard to find somewhere to locate a permanent studio set up, but still the enquiries keep coming!!
Photographed Cheryl and Andrews wedding last weekend at The Giltar Hotel in Tenby. A lovely day, proof shots are looking really great, can't wait to get them finished and presented.
Next weekend I have been asked to photograph a Ladies Circle Handover lunch at The St Brides Hotel in Saundersfoot and the following weekend another Tenby wedding.
I've stopped posting on photoblip because they rejected and picture I posted to support the victims of the Boston marathon bombings because it wasn't taken on the day!!
